Philosophy Communication Awarded 2008 Pro-Comm Award

Naperville, IL (PRWEB) May 30, 2008 -- Philosophy Communication, Inc., a Denver-based marketing and public relations agency, was honored as a winner at the 33rd Annual Business Marketing Association (BMA) Pro-Comm Awards. Philosophy's campaign for the Kit Faragher Foundation, "Live. Love. Laugh. Learn." beat out hundreds of other entries in the PR Single Effort category. The Pro-Comm Awards recognize work by agencies that transform ideas into effective information that produces results.

The Kit Faragher Foundation annually provides scholarships to graduating Colorado high-school students who possess the qualities that Kit Faragher herself embodied. The Foundation honors the memory of Kit Faragher, who died in the September 11 attacks. Philosophy Communication was charged with generating awareness of the foundation and collect at least $10,000 in donations at Grass Roots Ultimate Benefit Tournament (GRUB), hosted by the Grass Roots Ultimate club in Boulder, Colo.

Philosophy Communication's campaign included logo, tagline and marketing collateral development, along with a media relations campaign to promote the Kit Faragher Foundation's involvement with the GRUB fundraising event. The campaign resulted in widespread media coverage about the Kit Faragher Foundation and the GRUB tournament. GRUB raised more than $16,000 for the Kit Faragher Foundation, a 60 percent increase from previous years and the most the tournament has ever raised. All together, the return on investment was an astounding 84 percent.
